These are held twice each year, in May and November, and provide an opportunity to meet and learn from LCH therapists of all levels of experiences.

Description

REASON

Working on our own means we are all in need of the benefits and opportunities that getting together can provide. While the discussions and support through the online forums (facebook, e-group) are invaluable; the chance to meet up, pick each others’ brains, discuss our patients or techniques or simply socialise with our colleagues is both enjoyable and advantageous.

AIMS

To provide an environment conducive to the furthering of the understanding and application of LCH treatment.

To provide a safe, supportive environment for therapists to air concerns, ask for help and network with colleagues.

ACCESS

This conference is open to qualified Curative Hypnotherapists and all licenced LCH practitioners, regardless of practical experience.

PROCESS

A mix of formal, structured and open discussion with scheduled social/free time has been found to be of most benefit to delegates, such as those summarised here. The day’s agenda will specify.

  • Round-table discussion – a chance for all delegates to raise questions, ask for opinions or suggestions and to give their own comments, opinions, thoughts and ideas. Each delegate brings their own individual experiences of life and experiences, so no matter their level of experience in Curative Hypnotherapy, each has something to offer to their colleagues.
  • Social/free time – during refreshment breaks and over lunch, the opportunity to network with colleagues or simply catch up with each other.
  • Workshop – a chance to actively further your understanding, skills and abilities for the benefit of your patients and your business.

DURATION

This is a one-day conference. The meeting will start at 09:30am and finish at 5.00pm.

AGENDA

09.00 ARRIVAL, WELCOME AND REFRESHMENTS

09.30  –  SPECIFIC TO WHOM?

Should questions be addressed directly to the subconscious or should they be phrased in such a way as to be relevant to the conscious? (for example: “Has your subconscious created…..” vs “Have you developed….”)
A discussion of the effects of questioning styles, their place in LCH treatment and possible ramifications.

10.45 REFRESHMENT BREAK

11.00  – WHERE IS IMAGINATION?

If visualisation techniques can be used to enable a patient to relate details of specific memory of which they had no conscious memory and yet can also be used as a way of distracting the conscious during investigation; is use of imagination in this way a conscious or subconscious function? What impact might this have on application of techniques during LCH treatment?

12.30 LUNCH

13.30  – CAUSE OR TRIGGER? (part 1)

Using actual case histories, this workshop is designed to help you differentiate between Causative Events and triggers/ confirmations, providing you with the understanding and tools required to simplify your treatment sessions and enable more efficient and effective therapy.

14.45 REFRESHMENT BREAK

15.00 – CAUSE OR TRIGGER? (part 2)

  • Differentiating between trigger, confirmation or cause;
  • Identifying relevant information;
  • How to move from one incident towards more pertinent facts.

16.15 – OPEN FORUM

The chance for those present to seek opinions and/or advice on situations they have encountered in their own practices. Past experience has shown how these open discussions have provided a wealth of reassurance as well as guidance to practitioners new and old and the opportunity to discuss difficulties or areas of uncertainty in such a supportive and positive environment is invaluable.

17.00 MEETING ENDS.
