Who's Who

Volunteer Patients

A practical therapy needs to be taught in a practical way.

To try to ensure that we have, as volunteer patients, people with genuine problems, we offer free treatment to members of the public who have previously enquired about, but not yet commenced, therapy.Patient

We offer them this opportunity on the understanding that they attend each weekend until conclusion of their treatment.

The tutors' initial contact with the volunteers is at the same time as the trainees - on the first day of the training course. Just as in your own practice therefore, the first meeting and consultation is with a complete stranger.

We aim for three volunteers on each course, who may be suffering any of a wide variety of problems. This gives you the maximum possible exposure to 'real life' therapy and the differing reactions of individuals.

The Trainees

Those who have attended the College come from all walks of life as well as all parts of the world: from twenty-two years old to well past retirement age; from Britain and Europe to the American continent; from doctors, plumbers, housewives and teachers to builders, nurses, engineers and practitioners of many other alternative/complementary therapies.Trainees

Their experiences in hypnosis are also as varied.

  • There are always some who are gaining their first knowledge of hypnosis.
  • Others have completed more basic training courses in hypnotherapy.
  • Some have been in practice as hypnotherapists but wish to update and advance their skills and understanding to provide more effective treatment for their patients.

Previous knowledge or experience is not necessary, nor is any other qualification, as the course is complete.

Teaching methodsTutors

All tutors are qualified Lesserian™ Curative Hypnotherapists who have been in practice for several years before undergoing Teacher Training.

Their skill and experience is necessary in providing treatment for the volunteer patients and in guiding students throughout the course.
