The Therapy
Lesserian™ Curative Hypnotherapy is the most advanced use of hypnosis.
By finding the precise Cause of an individual's problem and correcting this, the 'need' for the complaint is eliminated - without the necessity for any symptom treatment with all its attendant dangers.
The treatment - and the fact that we are working with genuine volunteer patients - is the greatest difference between this and any other hypnotherapy course.
For many years Hypnotherapy has been an acceptable form of treatment for a wide variety of problems. Over more recent years, significant advances have been made in the understanding of how and why people create these problems and this has opened the door to the development of Curative Hypnotherapy which, as its name implies, aims to allow the patient to live the life they want, disposing of their problem completely and permanently.
Hypnosis itself is simply a tool - it can be used in many different ways.
- Some courses simply cover the basics of hypnosis and enable you to treat the symptoms of various problems.
- Some courses will show you how to use hypnosis in conjunction with counselling or with psychology - enabling the patient to better understand or learn to live with their problem.
- Others offer quite an eclectic collection of different techniques all designed to help patients in different ways to cope with or alleviate their problems, for example neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) or Ericksonian hypnosis.
- Others stick rigidly to one specific theory - that all problems are caused by a past life - or by some sort of abuse - or by some terrible trauma the patient has witnessed and perhaps has completely forgotten about.
These methods put hypnosis to several different uses, but do not attempt to find the true cause of a patient's problem, and if the cause is not corrected it still exists to create future problems.
No therapist can possibly know all the experiences of the patient. Only the person with the problem can have this information, and Lesserian™ Curative Hypnotherapy aims to identify this, so that it can be corrected and its effects permanently disposed of.
What does the "LESSERIAN" trademark mean?
Due to the amount of different therapists and organisations who incorporate the word 'curative' in their title or description of their hypnotherapy treatment, a way of solving this confusion was required.
In honour of David Lesser - the pioneer of this treatment - the trademark Lesserian™ was therefore registered to mark the difference.
The name Lesserian™ Curative Hypnotherapy is, therefore, protected and denotes the method of treatment which requires the understanding of how people create their problems which is the necessary first step on the path to enabling a complete and permanent cure to be achieved.
Throughout this site, all mention of Curative Hypnotherapy
refers to Lesserian™ methods.
