In order for our patients to react and respond as we wish, there is much which they need to understand and it is our job to explain it in a way that makes sense to them and is easily understandable by them. We need to educate them and reassure them, their conscious and subconscious mind.

On this CD, four scripts are provided which follow each step of the Curative Hypnotherapy treatment process; to explain, to reassure, to enable each person to fully understand what is required so that specific techniques can be efficiently used. The CD also includes an additional five scripts to promote sufficient relaxation and conscious distraction from the patient.

These scripts are designed for curative hypnotherapists to record onto audio CDs to be lent to patients so that they may listen to them between treatment sessions, so that they are better able to play their part in treatment.

In brief:

• Script 1 - provides subconscious reminders and reassurance about the treatment process, so that investigation into the cause of the condition/symptom can proceed smoothly at the next session.
  It is of most benefit following the patient's initial visit and first experience of hypnosis.


• Script 2 - continues the explanations and reassurance, and focuses on the patient's first experience of answering questions under hypnosis. It reiterates the information and guidance which would have been given to them during the treatment session and explains and encourages Conscious Distraction.
  It is of most benefit following the first visualisation techniques for the puposes of Recall.


• Script 3 - explains how the patient can help himself by improving his conscious distraction and allowing his subconscious to take over answering the questions. It gives various examples and suggestions which he is then encouraged to practice while playing the CD.
  It is of most benefit following introduction and first use of IMR to gain subconscious information.


• Script 4 - provides additional reassurances about depth and sufficiency of relaxation and again works on any difficulty the patient may have with understanding or employing Conscious Distraction. It gives additional ideas of ways they might benefit even more and even quicker if they focus their energy on playing their part in treatment and reminds them of how to do that.
  It is of most benefit for those occasional patients who have difficulty in responding in the way that is required.

The remaining 5 scripts are so that the therapist can record additional CDs which are neutral in content, suitable for all patients. They allow the patient to continue relaxing naturally or practice more actively in creating their own distractions while the CD plays. The patient can also benefit from knowing that they are continuing to play their part in making their treatment more efficient and effective.
